Elimination night. Starts out with the group number, “Joy to the World” this week. This song drives me crazy. It makes no sense, yet everyone seems to love it.
AJ singing the line “You know I love the ladies, I love to have my fun” almost cost me a new laptop. The next one will have to be waterproof.
Nick was the first to go home. He should have stuck around another week at least.
Alaina was next. I think she’s the first contestant I’ve seen who couldn’t make it through her swan song. However, when she did manage to gasp some notes out, they really weren’t any worse than last night’s performance. It was definitely her week to leave.
WHAT THE FUCK? AJ is going home instead of Sanjaya!? WHAT!? In what alternate universe does that make any sense?? Gay backlash? Sanjaya just said, “I’m shocked.” Uh. You and everyone on the planet who has ears. Ndugu is not amused.
Sundance won’t stop crying. He should be crying and thanking whatever trailer park organization is keeping him on the show.
True to form, Antonella managed to squeak by again this week. Will the madness stop!?
Leslie is leaving. She expected it. I’m sure that doesn’t make it any easier.
This happens every season where someone that is truly fantastic (AJ) goes home way too soon. It usually happens much later in the season.
