We say goodbye to someone tonight. Bad news for one contestant.
Barry Gibb is scheduled to perform tonight.
Ryan said that Simon was particularly “brilliant” last night. What? Nothing stood out to me as particularly great from Simon. Maybe he was being sarcastic.
I’m disturbed by Ryan asking women on the street, “How deep is your love.”
45 million votes came in last night. That’s pretty crazy.
Hey, finally a plug for the Idols Live tour. I’m sure we’ll see many more.
Pink is performing tonight. I adore her. She’s completely underrated as an artist. She’s putting on a great performance of “Who Knew.” The bondage dress is a little weird for me, but the song rocks.
A group number by the Idols… a Bee Gee’s medley. Some great songs to pick from. That was a pretty entertaining medley.
The crew got to screen the new Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer movie. I’m excited about the movie myself, so getting to see some scenes is great.
Yay, video montages from the contestants. Melinda looks cute with the Mickey puffs on her head.
For the results the contestants tried to huddle together to put it off. It didn’t work.
Jordin Sparks is safe.
Barry Gibb is up next singing “To Love Somebody.” Time hasn’t exactly been kind to Barry’s voice. His speaking voice inexplicably sounds like Sean Connery. His singing voice has lost most of its upper register. It still sounds like him but merely a shadow of his 70’s self.

Melinda is now joining Jordin on the couch. She’s safe of course!
Simon thinks LaKisha is going home. That’s what my prediction was last night. Actually, I predicted it last week.
LaKisha is indeed going home tonight. It was definitely time for her to go. She lost her spark some time ago. She ignored the mentors repeatedly. She looked like she was bored most of the time. She will have a career anyway. At this point in the competition they all have careers ahead of them.
