Well tonight we find out what the Finale is going to look like. Which two are going to face off?
Elliot Yamin and Maroon 5 are scheduled to perform tonight. That’s awesome. I love both of them. 
So the internet has buzzed all day long with speculation about who will be going home tonight.
The general consensus has been that Jordin should go home tonight. But I’m sooo scared for my girl Melinda. I’m afraid the older demographic just isn’t as fevered about voting as the teeny boppers.
We’re getting to see the videos of the home visits. Jordin went back to Arizona and reunited with her best friend. She cried. A lot.
Blake went back to Seattle and had a very touching moment with his dad. I’m a bit misty eyed. I don’t have any doubt that he will be in the finale.
Elliot Yamin is here to perform. He definitely looks different! Great job on the new teeth. His voice has only gotten better since last year when he was voted off as number 3. I really like his new album. He stood before the judges and got high marks from all of them.
Elliot told the contestants that this stage is only the beginning, so regardless of who goes home tonight, they’ve got a career.
Melinda went home to Nashville and had a street named after her. It makes me sad to see all these images from Nashville. Belmont University, Vanderbilt, the Batman Building… *sniff* I miss it.
We’re back for Maroon 5’s performance of their new song, “Makes Me Wonder.” I posted the video over at N2Notes a couple of weeks ago.
And you all know that I love Adam Levine, but what the hell is up with his haircut? It looks like it was modeled after Forrest Gump.
This performance is seriously lacking in some backing vocals. Otherwise, it was great.
Ok. We’re back for the results.
And in true American Idol form the results are shocking.
Jordin is safe.
And Bloody Hell! Melinda is going home.
In what fucking universe is that right? She has turned in consistent performance week after week after week.
Just goes to show what the power of the teeny bopper vote.
I am very happy that Blake made it. Melinda being gone makes it very easy for me to root for the winner.
I’m still incredibly depressed about it though.
