Guest Post: Mom Sends a Forward

Welcome to Jestertunes! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Feel free to leave a comment, read through the archives, and enjoy yourself. See you again real soon!

I received this via email this morning from my mom. I decided it was funny enough to count as a guest post.

I get to do that because it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.

—————————————————

It was fun being a baby boomer… until now. Some of the artists of the
60’s are revising their hits with new lyric to accommodate aging baby
boomers.

They include:

Herman’s Hermits— Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Walker.

Ringo Starr— I Get By With a Little Help From Depends.

The Bee Gees— How Can You Mend a Broken Hip.

Bobby Darin— Splish, Splash, I Was Havin’ a Flash.

Roberta Flack— The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face.

Johnny Nash— I Can’t See Clearly Now.

Paul Simon— Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver

The Commodores— Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom.

Marvin Gaye— Heard It Through the Grape Nuts.

Procol Harem— A Whiter Shade of Hair.

Leo Sayer— You Make Me Feel Like Napping.

The Temptations— Papa’s Got a Kidney Stone.

Abba— Denture Queen.

Tony Orlando— Knock 3 Times On The Ceiling If You Hear Me Fall.

Helen Reddy— I Am Woman, Hear Me Snore.

Leslie Gore —- It’s My Procedure, and I’ll Cry If I Want To.

And my favorite:

Willie Nelson— On the Commode Again!

These are too good to be original, yet I’ve never heard them before. Makes no sense!

Whall - Turns out you haven’t heard every single funny email that has ever passed about the internet. Curious.

Crail - Wouldn’t your era need, “A Nurse to Watch Over Me?”

daduck - Yeah, that’s the only reason someone from Evansville Indiana would be visiting me.

Mamaduck - Welcome! Everyone is young at heart here at Jestertunes!

Danny - I know them all too. I don’t feel like I need a walker just yet.

Jester, my comment was referring to a much earlier era of mine; not my current era; but nursing a grudge is not part of me. LOL :)

Crail - I was playing on Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me.” :)

I know and I was playing on a ‘NURSE to watch over me” ;) That song was written back in 1926; not my era; but too darn close for comfort. LOL :)
