No, I’m not talking about the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that I’m suffering from at the moment. While that’s a huge inconvenience, and it sucks barely having the energy to move from one room to the other… it’s not the dizziness and stomach cramps and night sweats and insomnia and short term memory problems that are worrying me.
It’s the fact that every time the movie Camp comes on (which so far has been 7 times this past week) I have to watch it. I can’t stop myself. It’s a good movie, and yes, it’s campy. Which is why I totally love it.
I almost always cry when Tiffany Taylor sings “Here’s Where I Am” at the end of the movie. Daniel Letterle is cute, but isn’t anything compared to the hottie Vince Rimoldi. Vince is gay, and out. And that’s worth keeping an eye on him. So what if he’s six years younger than I am… he’s legal!
So yeah, I think I need to see a doctor about this condition. I’ve been watching other movies while I’ve been home sick, Wedding Crashers, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, Places in the Heart, A Time to Kill, Picture Perfect, Driving Miss Daisy, among others, but I keep coming back to the syrupy sweetness of Camp.
I’m afraid it might be terminal.
