Google offering Free Broadband Service

It’s about time the good folks over at Google realized that if they offered free broadband internet across the country they could generate a ton of income from their advertising network. Definitely more than enough to recoup the cost of the equipment and servers.

They’ve even come up with a rather ingenious way to ensure the systems are self-installable. It’s called the TiSP system.

Here’s a diagram outlining the concept:

It is of course a limited time offer, so you might want to read up on the service and apply to one of the first households to received the free broadband from Google.

Early reports are that the installations move smoothly, the speed is explosive, but the service itself is shitty.

Dutchbitch - Something tells me they aren’t prepared to offer the service in Dutchyland. Maybe someday… if the government doesn’t end up poo-pooing the idea.

Someone spent an awful lot of time creating the website for this April 1 launch. What fools! I love it!
