It’s time to send someone home. My pick to leave last night was Ramiele. Let’s see how it goes.
I was ABSOLUTELY right about “9 to 5″” being the group number. HOKEY HOKEY HOKEY choreography complete with hoe-down clogging and butt rubs. They SERIOUSLY need to get a new choreographer. I mean Paula Abdul is RIGHT THERE. She’s a great dancer/choreographer.
Time for some results.
Michael Johns comes out first. He’s of course safe. He was one of the top performers last night.
David Archuleta is next. He also moves over to the couch of safety.
Carly Smithson is safe.
Crap-tastic American Idol call in portion of the show. *yawn*
WOW! The Clark Brothers, winners of The Next Great American Band, are performing tonight. I was totally hooked on that show over the winter. I didn’t blog about it because well, this is time consuming, but it was a pretty good show. I was totally hoping SixWire would win the competition, but I did like The Clark Brothers. They are performing “This Little Light of Mine” which was probably my least favorite song they did on TNGAB. *sigh* That being said, they are crazy talented musicians. They grew up in a HUGE family of traveling evangelists.
The American Idols should not rap. That’s all I’m going to say about the Ford Commercial. Well… except that shirtless works for me.
Back to results.
David Cook is of course safe. He was great last night.
Ramiele Malubay is up next. She’s the first into the bottom three.
Kristy Lee Cook is going to join Ramiele in the bottom three.
Nashville footage ensues… Bucky Covington (Season 5) has gotten his teeth fixed. He still sounds as dumb of a box of broken hammers.
Phil Stacey (Season 6) has an album coming out at the end of the month.
Bo Bice (Season 4) has a new album out as of last year after suffering some strange intestinal problems that left him hospitalized for 2 months. He has a 2 year old child.
Back to more results:
Syesha Mercado is surprisingly safe.
My two favorites, Brooke White and Jason Castro are left. I’m guessing Brooke is in the bottom 3. I hate that. She was wonderful. Jason was really good last night, too. Yes, Brooke is indeed in the bottom three.
The Bottom Three:
Ramiele Malubay
Kristy Lee Cook
Brooke White
Another reminder of next week’s Idol Gives Back show. Last year’s show was pretty amazing. I hope this year will live up to it.
Dolly Parton is out on stage to perform “Jesus and Gravity” from her new album. I forget sometimes that there are people who believe in both Jesus AND gravity. From the way people talk over on the fundamentalist sites, I’m a bit shocked.
Dolly looks pretty damn good for a woman of her age. That being said, I can’t get over the repeated chorus of “I’ve got Jesus! I’ve got Jesus!” UMB just said, “It’s a very Jesus-y night.” That’s an understatement.
I never realized how short Ryan Seacrest is. I’ve stood next to Dolly and her head comes up to about my collar bone. They were almost the same height.
It’s time to end the suspense for the bottom three.
Brooke is safe! Fantastic! I don’t like being scared like that.
I don’t really care which one leaves, but it’s Ramiele. She’s out. She’s gone. She’s a blubbering mess. Ain’t reality television great?
Let’s get Kristy out of there next.
