These pictures were definitely designed to attract men. Because even though this guy is a very pretty physical specimen, there is nothing sexy about those poses (to me).
I think it’s because he’s posed much like a photographer would pose a girl in a cheesecake shot. You know, kind of coy and come-hither? And the colors and lighting are very much what would be used when photographing a woman.
For it to attract me it would have to be more overtly masculine. A direct gaze into the camera, rather than this almost over the shoulder thing. Sucking on the lollipop is definitely over-the-top gay. And I don’t object to men and pink, but the top pic is a pink overload.
I don’t have any problem with these photographs, of course. I just think it’s interesting that it’s so clearly (to me at least) designed to attract a man rather than a woman.
