So we get to say goodbye to someone tonight. My prediction is Holey Haley ScarredHo Scarnato.
Lots of gimmicks on the show tonight, that I quite frankly don’t even care about. Ryan is out on the street interviewing people who clearly have no idea who they are talking about. These are the people voting. They have no idea who Chris Richardson is. They all know Sanjaya.
This is not good.
What the hell is Akon doing on Idol? Nothing latin about him. And what the hell is going on with the DJ’s hair back there… it’s like a half mo-hawk. A Moh, if you will.
After half-an-hour of basically nothing happening, save for a cute African kid drawing a picture of a breasty Simon Cowell, we’re finally gonna get down to business. For the elimination, Ryan played a game of Whack-A-Mole making people sit and stand over and again. If only he had a mallet.
Phil is in the bottom three tonight. No surprises there.
Haley is joining him, and here’s a surprise, Chris Richardson is too.
Chris is safe, though. Thankfully.
And now we’re back to the Jennifer Lopez promotional whirlwind. Obviously she’s got a new album coming out.
She takes the stage with what appears to be a large slinky on her wrist. Oy with all the pyrotechnics, dancers, fog and wind machine… I’m not sure if this is a concert or an F-4 tornado.
For those of you who don’t know already, those tactics are designed with the sole purpose of drawing attention away from the fact that the vocals aren’t that great.
Ryan needs to never speak Spanish again.
We’re back to say goodbye to Haley. This might be the first time all season that the exact right person went home. Sanjaya not-withstanding.
She’s pretty, there’s no question. She was out sang every single week by much better singers. This week she was even out sung by Sanjaya.
And that’s sad.
