Wow. Peter Noone should give Chris Richardson some hope that looking like a complete dork while singing won’t stop you from having a 40+ year career in the music industry. He still sounds good though. I love Herman’s Hermits. The music was so happy and upbeat and innocent.
Melinda, Blake, and Phil are all safe.
Next up is LaKisha, Chris Sligh, and Jordin. They are also safe.
Sanjaya, Haley, and Gina were next. They were all safe as well…
Chris Richardson and Stephanie Edwards are the bottom two.
Interesting. I called Stephanie being in danger, but Chris being in the bottom two is quite surprising. In fact, I seem to recall saying last night that this was his best performance. I wonder if Sanjaya-itis could account for the skewed results?
I think Phil skated by with his enthusiasm last night. Gina has got a pretty strong fan base.
I’m pretty sure that Stephanie is going home tonight. She was pretty dreadful last night.
We’re back for Lulu’s performance of “To Sir With Love.” She’s still got a great voice and a commanding presence on stage. I can’t say I liked the melodic changes she made, but hell, she’s been singing the song for 45 years, I would imagine singing it the same way over and again would get really old.
Ok, we’re finally back for the results, and bye bye Stephanie. I think you got robbed in that there are at least two people who should have gone home before you. But there just wasn’t room for a Beyonce knock off when compared to the stronger performers that are LaKisha, Jordin, and Melinda.
